Summer Term

Sharing a book for a few minutes every day is the best way to support young children's, speaking and listening skills, expand their vocabulary, develop their understanding of the world and their concentration. Reading a story at bedtime is an ideal time as well as relaxing your child as part of their night time routine.

For these reasons, we regularly share books with the children, including a 'Book of the Week' to support the theme.

What are we singing?

This term we will be singing a range of different songs including, Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, Humpty Dumpty, If You're Happy and You Know It, Old Mcdonald, Incy Wincy Spider and Baa Baa Black Sheep.

Our Weekly Timetable

Young children feel secure when they know what to expect each day, therefore we have a carefully devised timetable, discussed with the children and displayed as a visual timetable, which promotes  feelings of belonging and supports the children's development, particularly their communication and language.
