Lounge & Larder
We are committed to serving our families and wider community, through access to free opportunities and support.
At the rear of the main school is the Launchpad building.
This is where you will find The Larder and The Lounge.
The Larder is open every Thursday in term time from 2.30pm to 3.30pm offering a range of grocery items.
It's run on the principle: Take what you need and pay what you can.
Donations are reinvested in The Larder and The Lounge.
The Lounge is a comfortable and inviting space where we offer a range of free opportunties:
Mon 9.30 to 11.00 – Woodland Babies and Tots (outdoors)
Mon 9.30 to 11.30 – Adult Learning with Franklin College
Tue 9.30 to 11.30 - ESOL class with Franklin College
Tue 1.00 to 3.00 - Gardening with Rob and students from Trent View College
Wed 9.30 to 11.30 – Adult Learning with Franklin College
Fri 9.30 to 11.30 - Adult Learning with Franklin
We also have laundry facilities in The Lounge for use in an emergency.
Woodland Babies & Tots
Woodland Babies & Tots is a space for you and your baby/tot to come and unwind outdoors and connect with other parents and babies/tots. Each week we have a natural craft activity and hot drinks for parents/carers. Forest bathing for you and your little ones, allowing them to experience the natural environment with all their senses. There’s lots of opportunities for your little ones to get stuck into a range of activities on offer each week. All sessions will include a story and then there will be a choice of forest school activities, all whilst exploring the outdoor space, and playing in the mud/water kitchen.
